Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Golden Sands" in Japanese. She is one of the many daughters of Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was raised in one of their most shimmering and golden clutches ever. She was raised alongside her brothers Kin-Noeru, Go-Ruden, and Koganeiro: as well as her little sister Atsui. She really dotes on her younger sister, but is much closer to her brothers since they are closer in age. Kousa is a stunning dragon, one of the most beautiful in the colony. Her scales are a shimmering gold, with short golden horns, and beautiful emerald tinsel growing along her tail and adorning her head like a shimmering crown. She also has a beautiful voice, and not just when she's singing. She is the embodiment of all wonderful female attributes. She is mated to Xiaowen, whom she instantly fell in love with as soon as their eyes locked. She loves her dark and handsome prince with everything in her heart, and the feeling is likewise. They are soul mates, and they always will be.
