Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zihao is the fourth son born to Xiaowen and Kousa. His name means "Heroic Son" in Chinese. He earned his name by killing a python that had gotten into his nest when he was just hours old. Before his parents had enough time to spring into action, their newborn had already broken the serpent's spine, killing it instantly. Even as a youngling, Zihao became known as a protector. He always stands up for the little guy, and is especially protective of the colony's hatchlings. Zihao has always been brave, except for one time. When he met Suishou, he thought that she was a lovely dragon, possessing great inner beauty as well as outer beauty. They began courting, and fell deeper and deeper in love. Then, Zihao decided to ask her to be his mate, and for the first time in his life, he knew fear. He didn't want to be without her, and was terrified that she'd say no. Luckily for him, she was just as madly in love as he was; and they still are. They love each other so much, and always will.
