Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jin the fourth offspring of Xiaowen and Kousa, and is their third daughter, and the second one to be a Golden Tinsel. Her name means "Gold" in Chinese. She's very much so a mama's girl, and enjoys hanging out with her mom and sisters. Jin is a very beautiful dragon, with delicate horns, amber eyes, and shimmering golden scales. She spends a lot of time grooming herself to perfection, making sure that ever scale shines as brightly as freshly polished gold. She doesn't do it to be vain though, it serves a great purpose. Jin takes shifts at the old lighthouse on the coast, and the more her scales are polished, the more light she reflects. Her mate, Banshou, always joins her when she's at the lighthouse, and the two spend the night cuddling together, and listening to the ocean. They met when Banshou was flying above the ocean, and suddenly a horrible fog rolled in. Jin's light is what led him safely home. They became mates soon after. They love each other so dearly, and always will.
