Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Black is the most daring (and stupid) of the StarfallWhitefeather siblings. He is the most sporadic, flying into every situation with his claws outstretched. He's also the most outwardly aggressive, even more so than the more passive-aggressive Raven. Often times, he'll get into fights with his other siblings (minus Cotton, given that he doesn't see her as a worthy challenge) to prove his strength, often getting beat to a pulp. But, if there's one thing that makes Black stand out, it's his persistence. Black is a tenacious creature, hellbent on becoming the strongest dragon around. His dream is to take on and defeat his mother, the dangerous and highly skilled Amaya. He seeks to work his way up by defeating his older siblings, though, so far, his efforts haven't gone too well. So, he trains himself deep in the forest near his family's territory and clinic, strengthening himself by fighting dangerous predators and larger dragons. He's considered crazy by the rest of his brood.
