Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Red is a pretty mischievous and unpredictable character. He's generally very rude, unpleasant, and brutish and loves picking fights. He seems to have a need to be hated, anyone he meets he'll immediately try to find the quickest way to anger them. The only one he won't do this to is his mother, Streak, whom he is shockingly loyal to and caring for. So, yeah, he's a momma's boy. Like his father, Black, when it comes to Streak, Red will do almost anything for her. He'll listen to whatever she says without question and supports her in everything she does, even though his antics do tend to cause her trouble as well. Red is the kind of dragon who doesn't want friends. He wants to be a villain and wants everyone to despise him, and those that try to love him he sees as just a challenge. Why he does this with everyone but Streak, or even in the first place isn't quite known. It's possible he's just tired of being in a family hailed for being heroes and wants so badly to break that norm.
