Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A pretty bitter and spiteful dragon, which is what draws her to her husband, Black. These two enjoy sitting together and hating the world. They're essentially goths! Streak is a very intelligent beast with a knack for outsmarting others, whether they be prey or an opponent. She likes teaming up with Black, as he is significantly stronger than she is. They form a great balance of brains and brawn: Black makes Streak stronger, while Streak makes Black smarter. Of course, she still has to deal with his insane stubbornness. While he does acknowledge they work great as a team, Black will often push Streak away when it comes to fighting, especially when it comes to challenging members of his family. But he'll also do so when they are facing an especially tough opponent. He'll never admit it himself, but Black really cares about Streak and doesn't want to see her get hurt, which can cause contention in their relationship. So Streak will force her way in front of Black and be there for him.
