Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lake is a very sweet and serene Waterhorse, communicating almost entirely through dance. Despite her clumsy movements out of water, she is a remarkable swimmer and enjoys dancing through and on top of the surface of still water. She is close with her husband, Carp, whom she sees as a brave, but sensitive warrior she can rely on. In all honesty, the only reason she got with him was for protection from larger, stronger dragons, but she still treats him very well. She really loves his sister, Mira, whom she relates to much more and feels more of a connection to. She hides this from Carp and Mira to an extent, but it becomes pretty obvious if you analyze how she behaves with Carp versus Mira. As previously mentioned, Lake communicates mostly through dance. She does not use too much verbal communication and instead operates more through movement. This can make actually being with her difficult, since she will usually refuse to say what she means. This also means she is very quiet.
