Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Not to be confused with his great aunt, Faith, Faithful is named after a famous geyser. But, unlike a geyser, Faithful is very quiet and reserved. He doesn't tend to stand out among his family and feels more comfortable situated in the background. He enjoys swimming, spending most of his time submerged in the crystal blue lake his family lives near. He enjoys the silence underwater, moving around with such astonishing grace. Some other lakeside residents have mistaken him for a mermaid or water spirit, neither of which are true, of course. When it comes to his social life, Faithful is not exactly against having one, he's just choosy. Faithful tends to be skittish around loud or large dragons and prefers the company of quieter creatures. He does occasionally become curious and crawls out of the water to observe those that interest him, but patience is a requirement for those who wish to befriend him. Faithful gets easily pressured and stressed out, so it is necessary to give him space.
