Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hemimortus Mystal WinterFreeze (Clan Mystal) is the 81st Clan Mystal dragon, born of a pure winter line, and his personality matches his ice blue coloration perfectly. He is unyielding and unforgiving, and simply does not tolerate stupidity or foolishness. He has little time for the demands of youthful frivolity and tends to avoid the clan younglings. He is, without a doubt, a cold and frigid representation of the wintery season into which he was born and raised. The Clan Mother made several attempts, early on in his development, to warm his icy heart, but quickly abandoned her efforts, realizing that he clearly would not bend. Although both his parents seem saddened by his demeanor, they love and cherish him nonetheless, for who and what he is, and their acceptance is beyond reproach. It is uncertain whether or not he will remain with the clan, for he often disappears for long periods of time with no explanation, and refuses attempts for friendship with other clan members.
