Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hemimordriz Mystal BlizzardGate (Clan Mystal) was the 88th dragon born into the clan cave, a surprising event considering his father's cold and frigid demeanor, although it seems his mother was able to warm his icy heart with her Christmas spirit and tenderness. The eve of his birth was indeed a blistery one, and many of the clan elders worried that he would not be well because of the cold. Twas not the case, however, for he is as strong and mighty as any dragon should be. His eyes are a chilling white, speckled softly with flecks of gold, and his scales are a snowy, light and pale blue. Perhaps a result of his first few days, he has an uncanny fondness for winter storms, especially blizzards, where he seems to be the most at-home. Due to his affinity for treacherous conditions, if a youngling wanders off during the winter season, it is he who is called upon to mount a rescue. Although this happens rarely, Hemimordriz enjoys his place within the clan cave, and gladly accepts the role.
