Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Among the many unconventional Coastal Waverunners in the WavecrestNightglow family, Rookery is the closest in personality to her breed. She is a noisy, playful little thing, always up for a beach game or two... or sixty. She is extremely active, rarely ever sitting still or even taking the time to catch her breath. She only ever sleeps for a few hours at night, staying up late and waking early to get in as much activity as possible. Needless to say, she tries the rest of her family out. Rookery is super sweet, though, and friendly. Being raised around tons of different dragon breeds, she is social with all sorts of species in the same way as fellow Coastal Waverunners. She also enjoys being out with her mother and brothers, hunting and fishing out at sea as opposed to the shallower tidepools. Having so many brothers, Rookery tends to feel drawn to boisterous males and takes on a tomboyish nature. She can go talon-to-talon with her Bleeding Moon Dragon relatives in a fight or hunt.
