Storm-Rider Dragons are a coastal breed—though they can also be found in open plains, preferring the violent thunderstorms that usually occur in such areas. It is not known if the dragons create storms themselves with their electrical capabilities or if they simply magnify existing fronts; no matter the cause Storm-Riders can be seen tumbling through the worst of weather as if it were no more than a light breeze.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A truly magnificent and daring dragon, Thor lives for the thrill of flying through the worst of ocean storms, from downpours, to tempests, to even hurricanes. He isn't truly happy unless his body is being challenged by scale-ripping winds. He is an angler, like the rest of his family, but finds the job rather boring, so he'll usually combine it with his aforementioned passion. For this reason, Thor has earned himself quite a reputation among his family and community as a whole as the angler who will fish where no one else will. He does tend to take that praise to heart and acts like something of a celebrity, always very arrogant and showy. He can be pretty obnoxious and a glory hog, but he never does what he does for mean spirited reasons. He welcomes challenge of all varieties, even in fields he isn't familiar with, like puzzles and problem solving. In this way, Thor is the embodiment of challenge and getting up in spite of being knocked down. He's pretty inspirational in all honesty.
