White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Since she was a hatchling, Niai was particularly sensitive to the behavior of those around her, and could tell if someone was hiding an injury or illness. The healing arts came naturally to her, given her breed, but Niai was always unsure about how to approach those who were suffering in self-chosen silence. One day, she wandered into the dark volcanic caves of the clan's eldest Avatar of Destruction, following the sound of pained growls. Ikanaide, having injured his eyes to near blindness, had hidden himself away so his agonized rage would not cause harm to the family. Though at first terrified upon meeting him, Niai found herself unwilling to leave without helping the destruction Avatar. Now, Niai spends time with him each day, gently and silently healing her mate's eyes to restore his vision, the simple action letting him know that someone cares for him.
