Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A self-proclaimed romantic at heart, Setsubo has a very, very low patience for dragons who try to break up or otherwise sabotage other's relationships. Nevertheless, he is somewhat hypocritical in this respect, as he himself has scared off quite a few suitors from bothering some of his shyer siblings who were too polite to outright chase off their admirers themselves. Some of the elders disapprove of his excessively menacing behavior because it can lead to problems with the other family relations, but Setsubo never thought much of clan politics and is all too happy to intervene when a courter is being overly familiar with one of his little sisters. Naturally, all the younger male dragons of the family who know him well are well-mannered and respectful when seeking the affections of others.
