Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Big and Stout" in Japanese. He is the firstborn son of Kichiro and Ayumi. He is indeed a big and stout dragon, and has been ever since he hatched. He's one of the strongest dragons in the colony, and as such, is one of the protectors. He is mated to Eiko, who he loves with all his heart and more. She's the daughter of his father's best friend and adoptive brother. When they fell in love it was a perfect merger of the two families, or so they thought. After their first egg arrived they realized something terrible, their fathers might have been related only through adoption, but their mothers were actually related. Kenta and Eiko are related about 4-5 generations back. Their love is too strong though, so leaving each other never crossed their minds. They have however decided not to have anymore biological children. However, they look forward to expanding their family through adoption. Despite their weird relationship, they are madly in love, and always will be.
