Luminox Wyverns are a spritely breed, though their sharp beaks and talons may suggest otherwise. As the fall months approach, they begin to collect and store heat from fire mana, and as the temperatures drop off, they release it through localized spots on their bodies. This enchanted heat creates a bubble of warmth around the dragon, not dissimilar to sitting by a fire, and it causes parts of their hides to glow a striking orange. They are very popular with children, who are enraptured by their bright wingtips, glowing markings, and magical warmth. As a result, they frequently join in on human festivities, much to the humans’ delight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lantern is a very gentle, supportive Luminox. He's something of a traveling assistant, soaring throughout the northern regions of the world in search of unfortunate creatures lacking warmth. It is a bit concerning, then, that many he tries to help misinterpret his swooping toward them as a hunting tactic. In truth, Lantern is a vegetarian. Sadly, these misunderstandings tend to leave him battered and bruised, but he never fights back or defends himself. Lantern is far from a violent dragon. He doesn't like fighting in the least, whether it be watching or doing it. He prefers solving all his problems with words, talking it out with whoever is upset with him until a reasonable compromise can be made. This tactic works... sometimes, but it's harder to find nice individuals than fearful or careless ones. Still, Lantern relentlessly tries to be helpful to others. His unfaltering kindness can be read as stupidity, but it should be rewarded as determination to see the best in others.
