Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hides in dark spaces and lunges at anything that gets too close. Small piles of bones are accumulating outside of its “lairs”...

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

After hearing for years how various things "taste like chicken", Heartbutcher has decided she needs to catch a chicken and eat it to see how the birds can taste like so many different things. She eventually saw a chicken, Carmen of Carmen and the Ducks, and decided that was the chicken she simply had to taste. Unfortunately for Heartbutcher, attempting to stalk and eat a popular performer is a lot harder than it may seem. After several years wasted trying to infiltrate a concert and get onto the stage, she has been trying to figure out how to convince the three-bird band to hold a concert, autograph signing, or some such event deep down in her cavern where she could have the advantage. The three-bird band has yet to fall into her trap. She thinks the problem is her atrocious handwriting and plans to hire a graphic designer to make a prettier letter advertising her offer. If only she could find one who wasn't mortified by the prospect of eating a sapient, extraterrestrial bird.
