Labradorite dragons are some of the most potent siphons of mana in Valkemare. Dragons and other magical creatures in close proximity to a Labradorite will weaken over time, and extended exposure may even be fatal. However, Labradorites have no control over this effect; any harm they may cause is almost always unintentional. In order to protect others from their draining, they make their homes in the labyrinthine depths of underground caves. Perhaps as a result of this seclusion, Labradorites are gracious hosts to the brave few who dare explore their dark caverns. Legends tell of how these curious dragons traded their sight for wisdom, and those who seek their guidance are richly rewarded with stories, advice, and the odd gemstone.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Broghan is a maker and seller of metronomes and snow shovels. They are, indeed, two disparate items, and he has little use for snow shovels underground, but he's a skilled craftsman of both and does not like being questioned about his life decisions. Because of his magical nature, he doesn't leave his unit in Under Complex VI very often, instead leaving the selling and communication business to his wife and network of friends and allies. As far as they know, his siphoning effect doesn't affect his materials and products in any way. For the most part, customers don't care where the metronome or snow shovel is from as long as it's of a good quality, but a growing number of them are miffed that they can't truly know whom to praise for these excellent products. Some dragons are curious what in Broghan's life made him take on the specific crafts, but it's not an exciting story, and he doesn't care to tell it.
