Labradorite dragons are some of the most potent siphons of mana in Valkemare. Dragons and other magical creatures in close proximity to a Labradorite will weaken over time, and extended exposure may even be fatal. However, Labradorites have no control over this effect; any harm they may cause is almost always unintentional. In order to protect others from their draining, they make their homes in the labyrinthine depths of underground caves. Perhaps as a result of this seclusion, Labradorites are gracious hosts to the brave few who dare explore their dark caverns. Legends tell of how these curious dragons traded their sight for wisdom, and those who seek their guidance are richly rewarded with stories, advice, and the odd gemstone.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cankerworm says that he is a transformed inchworm that absorbed mana and never became a moth, that his lair is home to stone larches, molten rabbit-eels, and plated moles, that his next-door neighbor is a blob of goo with thumbs and dragon-level intelligence, that the underground contains a tongue-shaped sea of liquid that turns whatever bathes in it into a bivalve with the same mass, that one particular striped stalagmite in the eastern hall causes out-of-body experiences and vomiting when touched. He says many things and is very imaginative, but to his disappointment, rarely does anyone visit his musty, cinereous lair to hear his tales, despite the welcome signage and lights he set up. He winds up talking to himself and making up a lot of stuff for his own amusement. Maybe his stories have managed to spread outside, and potential visitors don't want to risk encountering any of the things they've heard about.
