Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Shina's egg first arrived in Ryuu Tanima, the egg was brought before all the couples, for it to gain a home. Shizuka instantly fell in love with the frosty little egg, and the baby growing within. So Shina hatched as a child of Shizuka and Minoru, their little Ice Princess. They named her Shina, which means "Virtue" in Japanese. She grew to be a beautiful and intelligent dragon, fond of writing poems about the snow and ice adorning her home in the Snowy Mountains. Once she reached adulthood, it did not take her long to find her soul mate. Shina was lazing about on an icy branch, composing her latest poem about love and how she yearned to feel it's warm touch. That's when she saw him... Kouri. He'd come to her clearing to make another ice sculpture, and when he saw her, that's just what he did. Kouri made a beautiful sculpture of Shina to show her how beautiful he found her. They became mates soon after, and have lived happily and in love ever since.
