Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Kaori is the firstborn child of Kouri and Shina. Her name means "Fragrance Weaving" in Japanese, since she has smelled like fresh bloomed Sweet Pea Flowers since the day she hatched. She is a playful and spirited dragon, who loves to frolic amongst the flowers and meadows of spring. She met her mate Hatsu Yuki soon after she matured. He'd come down from Snowy Mountain to visit some friends, when he chanced upon Kaori playing in a field of flowers. He was entranced by the silly little dragon rolling amongst the petals. When Kaori looked up, she saw a stoic looking ice dragon, looking at her with a quizzical look. Playful as ever, she threw flowers at him, temporarily blinding him... and then, she jumped on his back and bit his face. Just a playful nip, but it made Hatsu laugh at the crazy little dragon with her mouth around his muzzle. They started seeing each other, and soon enough, they became mates. Together, they share a life of laughter and love, and they always will.
