Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Obsidanya Mystal QuickScorch (Clan Mystal) is the 175th dragon of the clan cave, the first molten offspring to her very proud parents. She is a massive dragon, whose very footsteps cause the ground to tremble beneath her weight, whose scorching scales quickly set ablaze any combustible material in her wake! As a result, she tends to stay underground as much as possible, deep below the clan cave proper, where she stokes the fires and swims among the fiery lava ocean that provides warmth to her clan mates far above. She certainly has no lack of companionship, for she is in good company with the others of her kind who dwell there, including her ever aloof and rather lackadaisical father. From time to time, her elder brother, Bixfarut, who left the clan cave as an eggling, visits from his home within a friendly, neighboring clan. She cherishes his visits, and lumbers to greet him with sibling affection upon his arrival. When this happens, all others quickly scurry from her path.
