Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Howlitruil GoldenTrove (after the gemstone: Howlite) joined the clan cave as its 115th member, a generous and kind gift full of golden beams of heartfelt welcome from a neighboring clan. The Clan Mother had been searching for a community of other human caretakers, to share the joy and pride of her journey with others of her kind, and happily, found such a place of like-minded and like-spirited humans. Howlitruil is an energetic and quick witted dragon, full of spirit and zest for life. After hatching, she instantly gave friendly competition to Howlitythia for the scrumptious little creepy crawlies and tiny insects that have made the ill-advised decision to make the clan cave their home. Beyond her never ending quest for the tiny morsels, she enjoys buzzing from one place to the next, spreading joy and good humor to all around her. It is rumored that she hopes to birth heirs of multicolor, to bring a dash of rainbow color to the clan cave. Only time will tell if she will succeed!
