Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyropindo Mystal FuryFire (Clan Mystal) was the 167th dragon welcomed into the clan cave, the second youngling born to his parents. While his elder sister, Pyropia, watched over his growth relentlessly, once reaching maturity, their protective roles seem to have exchanged places, for there has never before been such furious fire in another's eyes as when danger threatens her. Some misinterpret their close bond, thinking them mates, rather than siblings, a fact they both seem to find very humorous. Although he is very defensive of her, he also respects his sister immensely and takes great steps to avoid insult or offense. While he has been approached repeatedly by The Red Claw, as of yet they have been unable to persuade him to join their number. Some believe the key to his heart can only be obtained with Pyropia's approval, and many potential mates seek her friendship before even his own, yet another fact that provides monumental amusement to them both.
