As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

His name means "Wind Instrument" in Japanese. He is the firstborn son of Taiho and Kin'ai. He is usually most active after 12:00pm to dusk. He loves hanging out with the dragons in the colony, as well as the drakes. Most of all though, he loves to spend time with his parents, and his gorgeous mate Mizuki. He rescued her after she got lost in the dark, and he took her back to her parents. Afterwards, they began courting, and then they became mates. They love each other so much, and look forward to spending eternity together. Like all the drakes, they live together in Remy's cabin. Unlike most of the other drakes though, they don't sleep in the bed with Remy. Instead, there's a large shelf above the bed, that Remy has put a cushion on just for the two of them. Every night they curl up together on the shelf, and Sho puts his wings around his mate, while she cuddles into his side.
