Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Vine of Stone is a male Nocturne dragon who is convinced that his breed was once cursed by a legion of dragons closely linked to the sun and sunlight. He says that this explains why Nocturne dragons freeze in whatever position they happen to be in when light strikes their bodies. Vine of Stone's main suspects are the Sunrise dragons, although he is also wary of the Sunsong Amphipteres and even the Day Glory drakes. He shuns these breeds like the plague which, considering his nocturnal habits, is not very difficult. The Sunrise dragons, Sunsong Amphipteres and Day Glory drakes all deny Vine of Stone's accusations, but the Nocturne dragon claims that they're all lying.
Vine of Stone is a nice dragon to be around for those who aren't closely connected with the sun. He has a tendency to create rather one-sided conversations that focus on the rumoured curse. However, Vine of Stone is very caring towards his mate, High Typhoon, and his son, Aislingeach.
