Fire Gem Dragons are a colorful, flamboyant breed often found in hot climates, particularly around active volcanoes. Their broad tails store the flames they breathe, which are colored by the heavy amount of minerals in the water they drink. These dragons come in a variety of colors, and will collect shiny trinkets and stones that match their own coloration. Despite their hoarding tendencies, though, Fire Gem dragons are social and will often congregate in groups and show off their collections while fawning over the stones their friends and rivals have gathered, occasionally arranging trades.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Her nickname is Tachi, and she is the sweetest. Tachi comes from a rather complicated and upsetting family. It's thanks to her mother, Goldenrod, that her unit can live far from the intense turmoil between her grandparents and aunt, Rhodochrosite. Upon first glance, it's impossible to tell Tachi even comes from such a family. She is always super upbeat and positive and spreads good will like confetti. Being a Fire Gem, Tachi is drawn to shiny objects, particularly emeralds and peridots. She and her brother, Cyan, share their hoard of trinkets, often swapping ones they have a particular liking for. Though she tries to appear happy and unbothered by her family life, Tachi does fear her family quite a lot. Her happy-go-lucky attitude is but a coping mechanism to help her deal with all the complication. Those closest to her can easily detect her cues of stress: picking at her scales, squeezing her paws, and fiddling with her favorite trinkets. She is particularly fearful of her father.
