Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Goldenrod appears to maintain a standard personality for a Golden Wyvern. She's quiet and reserved, rather intelligent, and refuses to kill another living thing without justified cause. She cares immensely for her mate, Sheen, in spite of his unpleasant attitude. She serves as a conscience for him, helping him distinguish right from wrong. Goldenrod is the kind of dragon that seems to care more about others' problems than her own. She frequently takes hits for others, be they Sheen, her sister, her offspring, or anyone else she has formed a bond with. Goldenrod believes that her actions will inspire those she helps to pay it forward and make the world a better place. It is a nice sentiment, and one she is fully dedicated to, even if she may be aware it's unrealistic. Goldenrod will do whatever she can to inspire kindness, to the point where she will go to some pretty intense extremes. Despite her calm attitude, Goldenrod can be surprisingly gutsy and has done some crazy stuff before.
