Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Fortress" in Japanese. He is the son of Mamosuke and Emi, and is exactly what his mother always wanted, a boy like his father. Like his father, he is fiercely protective of his loved ones, and is a defender of the colony. He also inherited his mother's playfulness and sense of adventure. He is great with young ones and enjoys playing with them. Best of all, he enjoys being with his mate, Yuzuki. He met her when he was out patrolling one night, and happened to bump into her as she was stargazing at her favorite piece of sky. He thought that she was the most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. After he started up a conversation with her, he discovered that she was also one of the smartest dragons he had met. There was an instant connection, and after a wonderful romance, he asked first her father, and then her for the right to be her mate. Yuzuki was thrilled, and agreed as did her father. They really love each other and always will.
