Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "To Protect" in Japanese, kinda fitting since he is the colony's main protector. After a courtship that started when they were just hatchlings, he has mated Emi, the daughter of Kentaro and Kiyomi. When they were just hatchlings, a tree limb almost fell on Emi, and he pushed her out of the way, saving her life. She was fine, but he was cut up pretty badly. He constantly worries about her, because she's such a daredevil, but he wouldn't change a thing about her. He loves her so much, and would die protecting her if need be. He loves children, and while he may seem intimidating, he is really a big softy at heart. He loves the family he started with Emi, and hopes to make it even bigger. He was raised by Hisoka and Maiko after his biological parents couldn't take care of him, and he's a mama's boy, although he loves hanging out with his dad and hunting with him. His father taught him everything he knows, including everlasting love.
