Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Delphinus is quite peppy for a Nebula. She has this need to be the peacekeeper in her family, since her siblings are so often at odds with one another. However, her bubbly, overly positive personality isn't always as helpful as she thinks. Though her intentions are good, Delphinus is pretty dense. She doesn't always understand the tense emotions between her sisters, Carina and Corona, so she keeps trying to apply a bandaid fix to a deeper problem. She is still likeable. Her siblings may get annoyed with her, but they all agree she's one of the better dragons among them. She's also one of the more indulgent when it comes to their father's tendency to show them off. He's constantly encouraging them to flaunt their beauty and not be afraid to show off what they have, and Delphinus is all over that. She loves the adoration she gets from others admiring her wings, which she frequently tends to by staring each night at her chosen nebula.
