Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Constell (her nickname) is a highly intellectual dragon. She fancies herself as an astronomer and astrologist, having built her very own observatory to watch the stars. She's witty and quick-thinking, with a knack for strategy. Her first move in a fight (if ever she gets into a fight) is to analyze everything she possibly can about her foe. Constell can be very deliberate with her research and note taking, leading her to become rather shut-off and antisocial, especially since she does all of this in the dead of night. Her saving grace and anchor to earth is her mate, Arva the Ridgewing. Though an airhead, he keeps Constell's talons on the ground and helps her enjoy herself. He's in love with her astonishing colors and pleads with her to flaunt them as he does with his own. So, the two will very often spoil themselves by showing off to all their neighbors. It gives Constell a boost of confidence she would otherwise never experience. Except, she also needs to keep Arva out of trouble.
