Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shy but elegant, Tan fancies herself a pristine, immaculate piece of art more than a living dragon it seems. She moves in a strange, almost artificial way, stiffening her joints in such a way as to appear like a doll. She'll strike immaculate poses any opportunity she gets, typically under a striking light or near some equally gorgeous landmark. She seems to try to outdo herself each time, coming up with new and inventive ways to be someone's muse. That is her goal, apparently: to inspire somebody with her unique beauty. Tan has an utmost love and respect for all varieties of art, but her favorite is sculpting. Her greatest dream is to see a life-sized statue of herself erected andor displayed in a gallery. So, she's hard at work coming up with the most perfect pose, hoping this dream will come true. She'll even scout for and follow young artists around, trying to get their attention. So far. Her attempts have been mostly fruitless. It seems most prefer purple Ridgewings over her.
