Black Truffle Dragons are one of the rarest breeds—though this was not always the case. Once, these dragons were quite prolific, but their musky-smelling secretions were found to be useful in the making of perfumes and scented oils, leading the dragons to be hunted near the point of extinction. Now, these dragons live far away from humans and will only share their oil with those they deem worthy of this gift, those possessing a pure heart and selfless spirit.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sleek is calm, elegant, and regal in stature and personality. She has a reserved, dignified air about her that makes it seem like she really is some kind of queen. She takes great care to ensure her musky oils are in a presentable condition. She wouldn't be caught dead looking any other way than perfect. She gives it out quite generously to her family, though it's apparent whom she likes the best by how much they receive. Her husband, the Striped, Avocado, is the primary benefactor of hers, and he uses her oils on himself as a sign of affection. The two of them are very close and share a tight bond. On the other talon, her relationship with his bolder, more irritating brother, Field, is not so great. Like with Avocado and Field, Sleek and Field hate each other with a fiery passion. They simply cannot stand to be in the same space together. Same goes for Field's mate, Lavish the Red-Breasted. The two just spout insults at each other endlessly whenever they meet.
