Black Truffle Dragons are one of the rarest breeds—though this was not always the case. Once, these dragons were quite prolific, but their musky-smelling secretions were found to be useful in the making of perfumes and scented oils, leading the dragons to be hunted near the point of extinction. Now, these dragons live far away from humans and will only share their oil with those they deem worthy of this gift, those possessing a pure heart and selfless spirit.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Grease is certainly not the same prophetic, wise figure of mysticism his mother, Sleek, is. Quite the opposite; he's loud, gaudy, and flamboyant. This leads to him and his mother being at odds with one another, especially since he gets along so well with her in-laws (a brood of Red Breasteds) while she can't stand them. Grease loves his gossip. He'll spend hours chatting with his equally gaudy cousins about anything and everything they find scandalous. He actually seems to fit better in their family than his own. Another point of contention comes with his musky oils, or lack there of. For whatever reason, Grease doesn't have much, if any of the oils his breed is so well known for. Could be a genetic condition or some byproduct of stress from being so isolated from his own parents. Either way, he's virtually scentless. This doesn't bother Grease too much, afterall it's these oils that nearly killed his breed to begin with, but it does certainly give way to some deep-seated insecurities.
