This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kyoi was summoned by three dragons with different origins: the first was adopted into the clan from a friend, the second was abandoned and rescued by the clan, and the third was discovered in the caves. As such, Kyoi himself holds an inherent fascination with memories, and believes it his duty to preserve the stories of the clan. At his request, a large network of the clan caves was set aside to function as a library, where Kyoi now keeps cylindrical pieces of wood and stone carved and etched with the memories of different members of the clan. Among the hundreds of records are narratives and tales of first hunts, first courtships, and many other such moments; moreover, Kyoi encourages the family to share not only their experiences, but their legends and lore as well. He hopes that the library will not only help family members learn more about each other, but also inspire wonder and a desire to explore the world, to create even more treasured memories.
