Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Boer is one of the few dragons to escape the stereotype which so haunts the Libra Clan members, and has gone on to lead a normal life with his mate, Cat. The fact that they can never have children does not worry this couple, as they can hardly see why they would want wriggling little hatchlings running nosily around their home all day. It is always strange for Boer how he finds other dragons giving him their condolences every time the topic of hatchlings is brought up, and his insistence that he simply does not want to have children is taken to be a symptom of denial. Indeed, many dragons will disagree with him on this matter, stating that of course he wants children, and he has simply convinced himself that it is the truth to avoid the heartbreak of being sterile. Boer is always disappointed that these dragons cannot comprehend him not complying to the pressure of society, but bears the clucking and fussing over him, knowing that they mean well at heart.
