Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Child of a very goofy father and a very patient mother, Yamata has inherited the characteristics of both. Eager to help, he listens attentively to the problems of everyone around him--and then proceeds to "solve" them in the most useless, idiotic ways possible. Examples include attempting to move the earth closer to the sun to heat up a cold day, creating a ten foot wall (over which no one but himself could escape) to protect a picnic from ants, and, of course, convincing people to believe in Santa Claus by first convincing them to believe in a maiden devouring eight headed serpent monster. Needless to say his assistance is thus much dreaded, leading many to bolt at the first sign that he's going to try to aid them. Yet when all's said and done people still know he has the best intentions at heart, a truth that always leads to piles of presents appearing outside his cave come Christmas.
