Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sorrin was born when his parents were in exile. They always guarded him; fearing that his eldest brother, Pharoh, would have him slain. As a teen, their guarding became suffocating. He purposely sought out danger. It was on one of these escapades that Sorrin met Lorilesia. They fell in love and met in secret. Since adolescence, Sorrin's father had been teaching him the warrior-style of fighting. When he grew up, he challenged his brother for leadership. Sorrin suffered a great deal of injury, but it was he who came out as the new Clan-Leader. He exiled his brother and his family, and brought his parents back to the Clan. It was that same spring that he and Lori finally became Mates. As Clan-Leader he didn't have to challenge anyone to fly her. The other dragons call him, "The Golden One". They say he's a better leader than his father. He's fair, honest, humble, and does nothing to distance himself from the other dragons. He's brave, wise, and is very passionate about what he cares for.
