Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sonnoh; son of a Sunset Dragon and a Golden Dragon, never could get along with his family. His father, a Sunset Dragon, was distant and always kept to himself. Sonnoh's mother, a Golden Dragon named, Diare, had a harsh temper and, because humans attacked her Clan as a hatchling, she was always so nervous. As for his siblings- they were always squabbling. Sonnoh was a wild, fun-loving hatchling. He later became some-what of a dare-devil, and often flew off on his own to explore the land (causing Diare no end of worry). When he grew up, Sonnoh left his family. He wasn't sure where he was going, and eventually came to a lush valley. In this valley he met Vaileen and her Clan. He stayed with them for a time, thinking to move on as soon as the winter passed. But then he fell in love with Vaileen and battled the Clan-Leader, Guardian Tail, for the right to fly her. Somehow he won and, in beating Guardian Tail, Sonnoh became the Clan's new leader- until his own son took the title from him...
