Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unlike his older sister, Seeriana, Carmos was never jealous of their eldest sister Leriah. Carmos never even thought about being Clan-Leader. He was always a happy dragon. As a hatchling Carmos had a rowdy, hyper nature. Now that he's older he's simmered down quite a bit, but is still a go-with-the-flow kind of dragon. Carmos is a big believer in fate and destiny. When something is meant to happen, then it will. He's also a little superstitious. If he's flying through the forests and a black wildcat crosses his path, he would then turn tail and fly as fast as he can in the opposite direction. As an adolescent, Carmos was often teased about that. When he was a hatchling Carmos was always eager to play with the other dragons. Even now he still hangs out with his friends.
