Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, smaller in females, aiding both in digging up food and protection from attack. Females are noticeably brighter than males due to their habit of not straying far from particularly algae-rich feeding grounds.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Despite her bright visage, Danae is one of the hardest dragons in all three clans to locate. She prefers her privacy and finding her is often a near miracle.
The truth is, Danae has for much of her life suffered abuse at the hands of a few select males in the clan. While she has yet to have borne a hatchling with any of them, the young female always proved irresistible, as both her mother and father are known for being highly attractive. A large laceration on her stomach testifies to this rough treatment; it even got infected. She learned by herself, using herbs and a small portion of magic inherited from her mother, to treat the wound, but having gone untreated by a healer, the scales around it never grew back properly.
Danae has retreated to a large, ancient Wawona Tree, which she has whittled into a small, hidden cave. From her perch, she sings a haunting melody; the locals, whom believe this to be the sad song of an injured nymph, provide her tree with food at the base.
