Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The day Teja was born a meteorite plowed into her nest, smiting her brothers and sisters and leaving her missing half of her front foreleg and the frayed tip of her wing.

However, she fortunately remembers none of this. In fact, she's quickly earned the title of the most naive and innocent dragon in the clan. She doesn't believe anyone would hurt her. Even if the leader of Cruorluna, Izdati himself, appeared, she would not believe he would actually hurt anyone.

She is very pure in the sense that she believes there is good in anyone. Even with a virtual war going on around her between Elder, Nebbia, Ferox, and Cruorluna. There is light in everything for her, a plus side. Not even Death's cold claws changes her mind. Death is but another part of life, one she will take when her time comes if not excitedly then willingly enough.

Ironically, her best friend and aunt Rajana is the perpetual opposite...Which makes the third member of their little trio, Blacieo, a perfect balance of both.
