Greater Spotted Drakes are found in open pine and oak forests. They are among the larger end of the spectrum, but are quite laid back and feed mostly on plant material. They are ambush predators and rely on their dappled markings for camouflage. Females are usually larger than males, though males are brighter in color. In the breeding season the male attracts a mate by making loud, low-pitched bugles, followed by an aerial courtship dance as proof of his quality as a father to her offspring.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Foliage has the bred personalities of his parents, though leans more towards his mother. He is highly adventurous and curious, constantly getting into trouble and snooping around where he probably shouldn't. He's also incredibly sweet to everyone around him, like his father. Foliage is simply irresistible, you just cannot stay angry at him, which is helpful considering how clumsy and uncoordinated he is. This clumsiness prevents him from hunting successfully, so he sticks mostly to a vegetarian diet, which his father, Bouncy, approves of. Foliage has a tendency to wander off, both physically and mentally. Often times, he'll just get stuck in a daydream, and it is a challenge to get him to snap out of it. He can be a bit naive, but he is decidedly not stupid. Foliage has a lot of emotional intelligence, able to sense the feelings of others and empathize with them. This is how he makes so many friends in his dangerous, jungle home, which he is actually quite comfortable in.
