Glaucus Drakes have curious personalities. They spend more of their time sunbathing and idly floating in the water than exploring. Because they move very little as they float, Glaucus Drakes can ambush prey relatively easily. They can dive to surprisingly deep depths, and eat a variety of fish and marine plants. Most of them live in tight-knit family groups.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

A very genuine and kind dragon who isn't afraid to stand up for herself or those she cares about. Slate is something of a free-spirit. She loves the thrill of adventure and action and seeks them with a pure sense of vigor and vitality. She is extremely kind-hearted and generous and willing to give up everything if it means supporting those she loves. She'll always be ready defend her friends and family, both from physical assault and dishonor. She is skilled at handling both, with her being dedicated to a daily training ritual to enhance her physical skills and also participating in various forms of mental training to keep her mind sharp. She's actually very smart for a drake, taking pride in her intellect to get the better of opponents and throw some pretty wicked insults. Her brother honors her as the Queen of Burns (despite being a water dragon.) Despite that, she is still just as sweet, compassionate, and genuine as any dragon can be. She is a loyal and fearless friend to have.
