Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fluoritreum Mystal EverRain (Clan Mystal) was born into the clan cave as its 203rd member, sister to the dreary Fluoritiod during an unusually wet and rainy spring. As a result, she loves the rain, and many believe she actively seeks to squeeze the drops from the very clouds that they might fall down upon the land below. While she cares for her brother greatly, none hold a place in her heart stronger than his friend, Fluoritios. When not engaged in some call to rain, she spends much of her time in his company, along with his sister, Fluoritvia, who was born just moments after her own birth. Together the four dragons converge upon the world and all its inhabitants, welcoming the season with a full range of springtime vivacity. Quite a sight it is to see, two sets of siblings; best friends to each other and mated pairs besides, strolling through the budding fields and flower groves surrounding the clan cave. Although always seeking rain, she hopes to one day become a mother herself.
