Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Ever since he was a hatchling, Brid Aquarius has had an almost religious fascination with the sun. Using a coloured piece of spitfire glass to protect his eyes, Brid would stare at the heavenly orb for hours on end, tracking its movements. When his wings finally grew, Brid decided to fly to the sun, ignoring the advice of the elder dragons. Taking off, he flew and flew, higher and higher, traveling further and further west. Around midday, he stopped, only to find the sun was moving past him, towards the cave where he had come from. Confused, he flew backwards, only to find that as he reached the cave, the sun had dipped below the horizon, to find the other dragons laughing at him. He retreated to a dark cave, studying astronomy, and learning how and why the sun moved across the sky each morning. Coming out only when it rained, he met few other dragons, though many admired his research. It was one stormy day when he met his future mate, a Bluna dragon who was obsessed with rain.
