Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sing Sing to Me, or Songaby Draekon (his shorter name being a mix of his parents'), is the sole offspring of Lullaby (Can You Sing Me a Lullaby) and Hearsong (A Song That Only I Can Hear), both being very musically talented dragons in the cave. Songaby appreciates listening to dragonsong, but he himself doesn't enjoy singing as much. However, he does enjoy helping his mate, Holdclose Draekon (Hold Me Close Hold Me Near), become a better singer. Despite not being one to exercise his voice himself, he has a good ear for tune. Holdclose enjoys being in the sun and warmth, despite being a Nocturne, so he often joins her, even though he doesn't personally enjoy the sunlight much, being a Sunset. He curls around her idle form for napping, just as his parents do for each other, with their own species being the same as Songaby and Holdclose. He has fathered a few dragons, and cares about them, though doesn't pay much attention to them, preferring to nap with his mate all day.
