Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being the illegitimate child of Nivea Draca and Njoeror, her mother never told her who her father was, but named her after him. Many dragons believe she named her after her only true love, however. Not knowing her father and half-brother, Njoera Draca grew up as a lonely dragon. She inherited her mother's intense dislike of the cave's mistress, but doesn't bother her as much as her mother does. She once had a crush on her half-brother Freyr Skirr, but it never became more.

Njoera Draca is a rather shy, inconspicuous dragon who likes to stay in the background as long as possible. Her flight speed is quite good thanks to her lineage. Her favorite pass time is playing hide-and-seek with the dragon-hunting humans with the metal skin. She has made the mistake of mating with other dragons twice while she was the dragonic equivalent to drunk, resulting in two children of her own.
