Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being raised by a timid and introverted mother, Milja Draca decided for herself to lead a very different life. Her father had left shortly after her maturation, looking for his own home, but she misses him still. And so, she went ahead and tried to find her father's tribe as well. By some sort of miracle, after a long and adventurous journey, she actually found some members of the whiptail clan.

Now she lives as the only albino among whiptails, but she is happy. Settling down with her mate Lars Blitz and having children of her own has made her content. Sometimes, she still spends a thought for her lonely mother, or her lost father. However, she has made a life for herself, she will live it to the fullest.
